In recent years, usage of Internet has spread rapidly, and has become an indispensable part of our daily lives. On the other hand, various negative aspects of Internet have also come to be recognized, one of which is addictive use of engagement with the Internet and online-games.
 The diagnostic criteria for gaming disorders are listed in DSM-5 and ICD-11. The Kurihama Medical Center has been providing medical treatment for Internet addiction since 2011. We offer outpatient services, day-care services, group therapy sessions, individual counseling, hospitalized treatment, and treatment camp for persons with Internet addiction. It is hoped that many organizations will cooperate in the prevention and treatment of Internet addiction and thereby contribute to healthy development of youth.
