Several issues regarding catatonia that should be noted from the viewpoint of general psychopathology are discussed. The type "catatonia" is an ideal type of social science, which should be considered as unreality. Several advocates of "catatonia" define the disease differently. They have their own perspective or viewpoint, which is very important. We should not forget that we unconsciously impose actual reality on catatonia when we try to identify its physical basis, or study the results of treatment.
