The need for collaboration between psychiatrist and psychologist has long been emphasized. However, there is little consciousness or opportunity for the collaboration in clinical practice. And there is no report of the collaborative practice for a specific case. In this study, we report a case in which a psychiatrist and a psychologist collaborated to treat patient with obsessive-compulsive disorder and her mother, and the symptoms were improved and the mother-child relationship was changed. Psychiatrists shared a framework for therapeutic intervention and distinguishing the roles of medical examination and counseling with the patient and her mother, and psychologists provided counseling based on these frameworks. This method may be useful for collaboration between psychiatrists and psychologists.
