"Feeding and eating disorders" in the ICD-11 is a category that integrates "Eating disorders", "Feeding disorders of infancy and childhood", and "Pica of infancy and childhood" in the ICD-10. In this category, the age-based classification was eliminated, similar to "Feeding and eating disorders" in the DSM-5. In addition, consistent with the DSM-5, the new categories of "Binge eating disorder", "Avoidant-restrictive food intake disorder", and "Rumination-regurgitation disorder" were added as separate disorders. These new classifications are expected to lead to a more accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment.
