In psychiatric medical care settings, it is necessary to evaluate the characteristics of developmental disorders and the rearing environment to determine whether patients have been exposed to physical or mental abuse. The characteristics of developmental disorders and adverse rearing environments affect the formation of personality. In therapeutic settings, the process of personality formation is the most important when treating and supporting patients. Developmental disorders are one of the factors that increase the risk of developing personality disorders. This is particularly important in the early stage of therapy. Psychotherapy should support the patient's ability to think, and provide environments, occasions and support that are essential for their growth. It is also important to arrange situations to discuss their future and careers in which they can show their abilities.
To prevent the development of personality disorders, these interventions should be combined, which will enable us to support them in forming their own identities. Total management is essential.
