Clinical oncology practice is set forward based on cancer control act in Japan, and introducing palliative care for all patients when they are diagnosed with cancer is one of the important agenda and psychological care is needed. Collaboration of psychologists and psychiatrists are desirable but there are many obstacles for psychologists to work in a multidisciplinary medical team. To address this problem, Japanese psycho-oncology society provides educational program for psychologists who work in clinical oncology practice.
