The training of child and adolescent psychiatrist was reported. In Japan, there are few systematic training system model of child and adolescent psychiatrist. The present state of the training system in Japan, the target aim of training, the summary of answer of a questionnaire for the child and adolescent psychiatrists and the resident training program of Tokyo metropolitan Umegaoka hospital were reported. It is urgently necessary for our country to establish the systematic training model of child and adolescent psychiatrist.
